Wanderlust

Every few weeks, my body aches to travel. I long to go back to Oslo, to just walk around the city,to show it to my husband for the first time. I long for the Pacific Ocean air on my skin in San Diego, the desert heat in Tucson. I long to leave the airport in Copenhagen and Amsterdam. To walk among the woods of Vestfold and see the fishing boats in Sandefjord.
Unfortunately, the American cultural and economic systems don't allow for travel, especially when you're dirt poor with a part time job, having to think about apply for food stamps and volunteer health care, and relying on your in-laws for money to buy food....
